Welcome to the Music Program 2011 – 2012

Music Teacher: Mr. Arthur C. Turner, III (Room 101)

Message from Music Teacher

“As we embark on a new academic year for our LoveWorks community, the music program continues to build the framework for its’ future.  The music program will have two mottos to live by: “Discipline is Essential” and “Everything is black and white except the music in you”.  We will strive to have a performing concert band which will prepare our students to filter into surrounding high schools following graduation from LoveWorks.  In addition, we will build upon our indoor drumline program (TKO) and after much hard work we plan to be very competitive. Lastly, we will strive to increase the musical knowledge and appreciation of all students.  Once again, these goals will take the support of our parents, community, and hard work from our students to achieve.”

Mission Statement and Philosophy

The mission of LoveWorks Academy Music program is to educate, train, and develop students to shine in music, academics, and personal affairs.  We, not only, strive to develop the musicianship of all our students but, we prepare them for life. We believe these lessons and characteristics, derived from self-discipline, the pursuit of excellence, and passion, are critical to achievement of any kind. We are leaders, students, and the future
